Project information:

Gateway Park and Preserve is located on the north side of Marengo.

In the past year, native grasses were seeded in the park, trees planted, and portions of a trail built. Plans for 2004 included erecting a bird observation tower, installing a boat ramp to the Iowa River, completing the trail, starting a memorial pavilion, installing park signs, developing an arboretum and gardens.
