Edible Wild Plants of the Meskwaki Nation
Project information:
The Meskwaki Nation saw a need to teach their youth about the native plants traditionally used by the tribe as food sources. The Iowa Valley RC&D and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service partnered with the tribe to develop the Edible Wild Plants of theMeskwaki Nation Poster primarily as a tool for the tribe. The Elders and tribal staff decided it would be beneficial to make the poster available to others.
